The small town of Bridgeville, California is for sale. An entire town, for sale. On eBay. But that’s not the interesting part, because the remarkable thing about it isn’t the fact that it is the first town to ever be auctioned on eBay, but that it is being auctioned again.
Bruce Krall, a financial adviser, bought the 83-acre property in May 2004 for from conventional real-estate listings for $700,000 after the town was posted on eBay and the winning bidder failed to come up with the money to pay for $1.78 million.
Since then, like any good property owner, Krall went on to clean, fix and renovate parts of the town, and has put it up for sale again on eBay. But this time around, he’s selling it at no less than a minimum bid of $1.75 million, or more than twice what he paid for.
