My account won't allow me to start a new thread in the US section. I have no problems in other areas, obviously. .. Is there something I need to do different, or is this a site glitch?

I cannot either. I was just coming in to ask the same thing. Hopefully someone will let us know why we cannot post in that section.

Sorry about that. We "switched" that category off temporarily since a couple of weeks ago because of the barrage of spam posts that were raining in the US and Canadian sections.

We take these things very seriously and assiduously remove them one by one, and turned them off only temporarily to fend off spammers. With your note, we've just switched them on again.
