Teen golf sensation, Michelle Wie was disqualified from her first pro-tournament after she took the wrong penalty drop at the 7th hole.

Sports Illustrated journalist, Michael Bamberger noticed that Wie had taken her penalty shot closer to the hole. Video tape evidence proved inconclusive so Wie and her caddie, Greg Johnston were asked to describe the shot.

Officials measured the distance between where Wie's shot first down and where she took her next shot and found that she had played 12 to 15 inches closer to the hole.

Wie's disqualification cost her fourth place and $53,126 in prize money.
