Village People Cop Disappears After Being Busted. Again.

He’s one cop who just keeps breaking the law. And getting busted.

Victor Edward Willis, the original policeman in the 70’s mega sensation The Village People, has been issued an arrest warrant on Oct. 20 after he disappeared pending a scheduled court hearing on a drug case.

Willis co-founded the Village People in 1977, and co-wrote as well as sang lead on several of this original Boy Band’s greatest hits such as “Macho Man,” “In the Navy” and “YMCA” but left the group in 1979.

He was arrested in July (by real cops) in Daly City, California after getting caught in a (real) traffic stop on his (real) convertible Corvette allegedly in the possession of having crack (fake) cocaine, among other juicy tidbits like a (real) loaded pistol, only for the (real) cops to soon discover he was already previously wanted on a (real) $15,000 felony warrant for the possession of-- you guessed it-- narcotics.

He posted a one-hundred-thousand-dollar bail (of real money) and was released after his (real) lawyer, Kenneth Quigley, said he was scheduled for (fake) surgery, but remained free since.

The dancing cop was nowhere to be found after making like a tree and keeping the heck out of the (real) San Mateo County Superior Court where he was scheduled to appear.

Too bad his life couldn’t play along with his songs, as the erstwhile Macho Man obviously couldn’t hide In the Navy, but probably could check into one of many choice locations left in well, the YMCA.
