UK Opens First Chessboxing Organization and Club

It's official-- Great Britain has its own Chessboxing Organizatioin. Tim Woolgar, of Crouch End, took the reins of the phenomenon and set-up a club at Islington Boxing Club, in Hazellville Road.

Says he: "I know that it's strange concept and most people think that people who are good at chess will be bad at boxing and visa versa, but I had a call from a guy a couple of days ago who was a chess prodigy when he was younger and has grown up to be a martial arts champion."
