Does chessboxing have a chance at becoming an Olympic sport? Supporters always thought so. And now The New York Times' chess blogger says it "seems to hold out more promise."
Dylan Loeb McClain thinks chessboxing has more chances of getting accepted as part of the Olympics compared to another chess-related sport called chess biathlon. The latter involves cross-country skiing and occasionally stopping in the woods to solve chess challenges posted on trees. McClain explains why chessboxing is “more Olympian.”
