For the fourth time,
AMD held its
enterprise online event. The focus is one, the new Opteron 64 bit dual core processor. At first, in fact since the first online event, i just surfed this site just to get the freebies. Last time I got the original Livestrong wristband from AMD, and then a shirt. This time, AMD online event offers all who sign up the survey the original Ferrari shirt and cap. You just do the simple survey and wait a week, an envelope from United States will arrive to your door. Its your gift from AMD.
Well that’s not the main point. The thing that attract me the most is the way AMD promote and held the online event. AMD shows the world how its processors beat the
Intel Xeon dual core processors according to the industrial standard benchmark tests. The test is called “
Dual Core Duel“. The online event website is presented in an interesting way which in
Flash video where user like me just have to watch and listen. The video loading time is quite fast too. Since the test is called “
Dual Core Duel” the benchmark test video is presented like we are watching a boxing match. Complete with the commentators. And you know what, these 2 guys and the other newsreaders at the DataCenter are quite funny too.
After the duel, AMD shows that it beats the
Intel dual core CPU’s at all 5 benchmark tests. This is an open benchmark test where the test is comply to the standard industrial benchmarks, so i really can believe the result, if not Intel must have do something with this right?. The online event also has opened my eyes that AMD processors are cool too. It uses the
Multi Core Technology called
Direct Connect Architecture, which cut all the bottlenecks and as a result, you can do more in less time. The technology of AMD’s dual core is not same to Intel and that’s what makes AMD wins the duel. I should
try use AMD one day.
So, to see this unique CPU’s duel, you can see it
HERE. Don’t forget to sign up the survey to get the freebies from AMD.
