MADE FOR DOING TIME: Leif Garrett sentenced Thursday to 90 days in jail and three years probation after opting out of a residential rehab program because he felt it was too strict." Like, they don't even let you do drugs, man."

SO LONG: Both Malcolm in the Middle and The West Wing wrapping up seven-year runs Sunday with highly unanticipated series finales.

PARENT SPAT: Alec Baldwin winning the latest battle in his post-divorce visitation war with Kim Basinger Thursday after a judge granted him three makeup visitation days with the couple's 10-year-old daughter, Ireland, against Basinger's objections.

KEEP KEEPING AWAY: Lawyers for Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen extending the restraining order requiring Sheen to stay at least 300 feet from Richards. Sheen also agreeing have his visits with his daughters supervised by a professional. (Unfortunately for him, the court declining to leave the term "professional" open to interpretation.)

LIFE AFTER DEATH? Mediaweek reporting that 7th Heaven will be resurrected on the CW for an 11th season. Apparently, someone's having trouble letting go...

PLAYING FAVORITES: Paula Abdul telling Teen People she wants Elliott Yamin to win American Idol, because she takes credit for making "America wake up and see the talent that Elliott possesses." Since a recent poll found that only 6 percent of voters actually value Abdul's opinion, as compared to the 58 percent who are tuned into Cowell's criticisms, we're not sure whether this is good or bad publicity for Yamin.
