(July 2008) What are the methods used by scientists to date archeological finds? And do those methods tell the true age of buried organisms?

The method used by scientists to determine the age of archaeological finds is called radiometric dating. It involves measuring decayed radioactive elements and, by extrapolating backward in time, determining the age of an organism.

One element commonly used, in what's referred to as "radiocarbon dating" or "radiocarbon...

(June 24, 2008) The Phoenix lander's May 31st, 2008, transmission of photos of ice on Mars is being hailed as a possible breakthrough in our search for life on other planets. The hope is to test the ice for evidence of organic compounds that are the chemical building blocks of life.

This kind of optimism, however, makes one wonder if scientists have lost all reasoning abilities. If we find the building blocks of life on Mars it'll prove the precise opposite of what...

What are black holes? And how are they formed?

Black holes are probably the most fascinating (theoretical) objects in astronomy. Such objects, which scientists believe must exist, would account for the spin-rate of our galaxy, which cannot be explained by the combined mass of the visible stars. But exactly what are black holes?

A paper, "Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society in London," written as early as 1783 by John Michell, a Cambridge don, pointed...

Can a theory of God be a legitimate scientific theory? If yes, why haven't scientists proposed it yet? Can something as mundane as bias, and not lack of empirical evidence, be at fault?

Probably one of the most dishonest and unrealistic arguments I've heard in support of our universe being billions of years old was by a scientist trying to refute the belief that the world came into existence approximately 6,000 years ago according to the Bible's account of Creation....

Is everything really explainable by science? Or does the human body show physical evidence of a Divine Origin?

The axiom a "whole is equal to the sum of its parts" holds true in physics and mathematics as well as biology. It seems so logical that one wonders why such an axiom even needs to be postulated. But is it really all that logical? There is a case in which the sum of an entity's parts do not seem to add up to its whole. No, I'm not talking about black holes,...

For years scientists have been telling us how the universe began. Do we really know? Or do we need another fifteen billion years to figure it out?

To date, our space...
