Tens of Thousands Feared Dead in South Asia
 

An earthquake measuring 7.6 on the Richter Scale struck in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir on Saturday causing widespread devastation. Authoritieses fear that more than 30,000 people have died with just as many wounded. Millions are said to be homeless.

Pakistan's president has appealed for international help in providing rescue, medical and evacuation services.
