Looking for some good shows that you can sit down and enjoy with your kids? The Parents Television Council (PTC) has compiled their list of best and worst shows on broadcast networks and this year they couldn't come up with a number 10 Best Show!

The top three shows deemed great for primetime family viewing are Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Three Wishes and American Idol.

The worst? The War at Home, The Family Guy and American Dad.

L. Brent Bozell, president of the PTC says "We provide this analysis as a guide for parents because it’s very difficult to monitor all the shows that are appropriate for family viewing and those that are not. We were alarmed to find that the three worst shows on prime time broadcast television are being marketed as family-friendly when, in fact, these shows are none other than wolves in sheep’s clothing."

Television shows are ranked according to the program content and how appropriate a show is for children.
