Cola, Not Coffee, Causes Female Hypertension
1 Attachment(s)
It's as if the beverage department of your local CSI has made a breakthrough in its never-ending search for the hypertension culprit, and colas are caught red handed, absolving coffee to the cheers of caffeine addicts everywhere.
The poor folks of the soda industry must sometimes feel like being in the tobacco business. Their sweet sugary vendible regularly finds itself at the receiving end of blame from hypertensive adults and children. A new study however, doesn’t bring help but more culpability for colas and absolves coffee of the charge of causing hypertension, at least in women. Where previous studies provided conflicting findings of the correlation between coffee consumption and hypertension, more experts have professed how the body of normal folks can tolerate a daily cup or two of cappuccino. There was no word of how this piece of news is making a killing in the stock price of Starbucks, but that lady in its logo suddenly looks very prescient. SeattlePI | Forbes | Reuters |
